Basketball Betting Pick - September 29, 2008We nailed both of our WNBA picks yesterday, good for +5.2 units. So far this month we are hitting 73% (19-7) for +23.4 units. Two more WNBA plays today with a 5-unit pick.  Today's WNBA Basketball Picks: We rode the Shock at home in game two, and they didn't letdown, and will ride them again here. What appeared to be something that would work against them actually helped them, as game two was moved from The Palace in Auburn Hills to Eastern Michigan University - due to a scheduling conflict. Coach Laimbeer was cited as saying how loud it was with all the students, and expects it to be louder tonight. Detroit got a lift when Plenette Pierson played after dislocating her shoulder just a week ago. She provides an emotional lift as well as energy points and rebounds. The Shock got to the line 23 times, to the Liberty seven and out-rebounded them by 12, with 12 more points in the paint. It is what the Shock have done all season at home, so no reason why in the biggest game of the year to expect otherwise. The totals have dropped in this series going from 144 in game one, to 141 in game two, down to 137 here. It's no wonder, as an average of just 117.5 were scored in those two games. Now we get value going the other way. Detroit games have averaged 153 points per game this season at home! New York has gone 15-5 OVER following a game where they lost ATS.
