Free Wnba Pick Sports - September 22, 2008

We posted another WNBA winning day yesterday as we nailed both of our picks, good for +3.6 units. So far this month our WNBA picks are hitting at a 73% win rate (16-6) for +20.5 units. On the season we are also 8-1 with our 5-unit picks and tonight we roll out another 5-unit gem.

Today's WNBA Basketball Picks:

Game: New York at Connecticut (7:05 PM Eastern)
Pick: 5 units on Connecticut -272 (moneyline) (risk 5 to win 1.8)

The Connecticut Sun evened their series with the New York Liberty on Saturday, and the series resumes tonight in Connecticut. The Sun have won six of their last seven at home, and stand at 14-4 overall. The bad news for the Liberty is the fact they out-shot the Sun 43% to 37% from the field, out-shot them from beyond the arc 45% to 39%, and still lost game 2. The reason was the Liberty cranked up 29 three's and could not get anything inside, while the Sun continuously pounded the ball inside, going to the line 26 times to the Liberty’s five. The Liberty stayed in the game because they hit 45% from beyond the arc, but I'll take a team at home that gets to the line, works in the paint over a team launching 3's, even with as high a success rate from beyond the arc, it was not enough for the Liberty. The Sun get the call in this one.
