![]() Today's WNBA Basketball Picks: The Connecticut Sun have looked horrible down the stretch. Just when they had a chance to make a run they faltered. They have had their moments early in the season, with a three and four-game winning streak, but otherwise have been a dismal 8-17. The Dream continues to win at home, taking eight of their last 10, and the losses were close as they dropped the two games by just two and four points. Connecticut looks like they have packed it in, while Atlanta keeps rolling at home, and I'll go with the Dream on the moneyline.Game: Connecticut at Atlanta (7:05 PM Eastern) Pick: 3 units on Atlanta -4.5 (-110) (risk 3 to win 2.7) The Connecticut Sun has found it difficult to get anything going this season. They moved to 14-12 and looked like a team ready to turn it on down the stretch. Then, they proceeded to drop five straight, and finally won one, but needed OT at home to get the win against the worst team in the league. Atlanta has come light years from their four-win season a year ago to be holding down second place in the East. They held their own on a difficult five game road trip, and now come home where they have been very tough as they are 8-2 in their last 10, and equally important 8-2 ATS as well. The Sun has now fallen to an 8-20 ATS mark following an ATS loss, and the Dream are a deadly 12-2 ATS off of three days rest. I will back Atlanta in this one.Game: Minnesota at Los Angeles (10:30 PM Eastern) Pick: 3 units on Minnesota +6.5 (-110) (risk 3 to win 2.7) Pick: 3 units on Game Total OVER 152 +100 (risk 3 to win 3) The Minnesota Lynx lost their best player early, and played competitively. They then hit a really horrific stretch that saw them lose nine out of 10 games. With their best player gone, and the season in a hopeless state, it would have been easy for them to mail it in the rest of the way. That never happened, and is a testament to this team that they didn't quit. What has happened is they have kept working, and have now won three of their last five and the two losses were close games - within the pointspread offered here. They are averaging 81.2 points per game in their last five. The Sparks have managed to pull themselves together to reach the .500 mark for the season through the help of a six-game winning streak, but have slipped back again at 2-3 over their last five. The difference has been offense as the Sparks failed to reach the 70-point mark in half of their first 20 games, but since have topped it in 10 of 11. And the Lynx aren't shy about an up-tempo game, it is where they thrive. I will back Minnesota and the OVER in this one. Results: 2-2 ![]() WNBA Basketball Picks Resources:
