Wnba Basketball Picks - September 09, 2009

We posted a winning day yesterday going 2-1 for over +4 units, including an easy win on our WNBA Game of the Year when the Sparks won by seven points over the Silver Stars.  Over the past two weeks our WNBA picks are shooting 79% at 19-5 for +38.4 units, bringing our season total to 103-78 for +41.2 units.  Today we have one premium selection for you.

Today's WNBA Basketball Picks:

Game: Detroit at Minnesota (8:00 PM Eastern)
Pick: 3 units on Minnesota +0 (-110) (risk 3 to win 2.7)

The Minnesota Lynx endured a 1-9 stretch and, for a team that lost their best player early on, slumping badly heading down the stretch could of made it easy for them to pack it in and stop playing. To their credit they have stayed the course, worked hard and played much better. The results show proof positive as they lost on the road in a heartbreaker at San Antonio, always a tough place to win by two in OT, and by six at Washington. They have won each of their last two at home, the last an impressive win vs Seattle. The Shock have won seven of their last eight playing much better, but five of the last seven have been at home and they have just six road wins on the road all season. Lynx have something to say about the Shock making a playoff run, have revenge here and have been at their best with a long rest. The Lynx are 9-4 ATS with three days rest. The Shock have never gotten comfortable in Minnesota, covering just one of the last five played here. I like Minnesota in this one.
