The Minnesota Lynx makes the trip to the desert to take on the high-scoring Phoenix Mercury. The Mercury offense certainly felt the rust of the one-month layoff, as they were held to 55 points in their first game back. It is an amount they have achieved in a half this season, as they are definitely a fast-paced offense with no resistance on defense. They should be back in high gear tonight at home against the Lynx. As much as they can score, one of the problems for the Mercury has been they just don't play any defense at all. They allowed 90.4 points per game in their last eight before the break, but their high-paced, quick-trigger offense has led to seven of those eight games going over the total. Minnesota also struggled in their first game back after the layoff, held to a season-low 58 points. This is another team that likes the fast pace, and that has resulted in nine of their last 11 games before the break to soar over the total. Two teams that both love this kind of game, with neither offering much resistance should lead to an entertaining game, but also one that plays in the 90s or higher. The OVER gets the call here.
