Basketball Betting Pick - October 05, 2008

Pick: 3 units on Detroit -4 (-110) (risk 3 to win 2.7)

The Detroit Shock did the unthinkable as they went to San Antonio and won both games to begin their series on the road. The Silver Stars had lost just three at home all season and at 17-3 the two Shock wins were huge. It definitely had to take the air out of the Silver Stars, and give the Shock momentum and confidence coming home, where they have already beaten this Silver Stars team by 12 points during the regular season. The Shock have put together a 17-4 mark on their home floor and should smell blood for this one, and I expect them to come out fast and hard here. The Silver Stars are 0-5 ATS in their last five with one day rest, while the Shock has been 4-0 ATS on one day rest, and I am not looking for that trend to change here, so Shock get the call.
