Wnba Free Pick - June 30, 2009Today, we roll out dual 5-unit selections including our WNBA Game of the Month! So far this season, we are hitting 58%, 26-19 for +18 units and we look to add to that season-to-date mark with our three plays today. Our play on Atlanta wears our GOM moniker, but we really love both of our 5-unit selections today!
BetPhoenix 100% Deposit Match!  Today's WNBA Basketball Picks: Atlanta has already won as many games as they did all of last season, and is one of the most improved teams in the WNBA. The same could be said for Minnesota, until Simeone Augustus went down with an injury. The Lynx scored against Phoenix, which everyone does, but they are clearly not as potent of a team without their star player. The Dream, has quietly scored 81 or more points in each of their five home games, and is a big threat on home hardwood. They are 3-2 at home with one of the losses in OT. The Lynx are struggling to get on a run, as they are now 4-11 ATS after a win, and the Dream is now 4-1 ATS against a team with a winning record. I'm going with Atlanta here.Game: Sacramento at Chicago (8:00 PM Eastern) Pick: 5 units on Sacramento +6.5 (+100) (risk 5 to win 5) Pick: 2 units on Game Total OVER 144 -110 (risk 2 to win 1.8) The Sacramento Monarchs don't have much appeal to the typical gambler. How could they with their 1-7 SU and ATS marks for eight games into the WNBA season? Most often, that is where the value is found in sports wagering, as the oddsmakers have no choice but to pad the line to get any interest on the poor team. The Sky has five home wins already on the season, but none of them by greater than eight points, so they aren't putting anyone away. The Monarchs have been a very solid choice when they have had a days rest as they are now 14-4-1 ATS in their last 19 after a day off. The Sky has had a lot of problems facing-off against teams in the Western Conference at just 1-6 ATS in their last seven. The Monarchs have been a decidedly OVER team cashing 10 of their last 14 to the OVER, and on that one day’s rest when they play better and score more, are a perfect 5-0 to the OVER. The Sky has also been 5-0 after an ATS loss, and four of the past five meetings between these two teams have pushed OVER the posted total. I will go with Sacramento and the OVER here.
