Today's WNBA Basketball Picks:
Game: Tulsa at Minnesota (8:05 PM Eastern)
Pick: 2 units on Minnesota -7 (-110) (risk 2 to win 1.8)
The Lynx have been awful, having won just two of eleven games this season. So why are they favored by 7 points here? Because they are facing another bad team - one that has been outscored by nearly 15 points per game on the road this season. Tulsa has won just one road game. On this road trip they are 0-3 having been outscored collectively by 69 points. The Lynx are coming off a good performance at Los Angeles. They are in desperate need of a win and won't take the foot off the gas if/when they get a lead in this game.
Game: Connecticut at Los Angeles (10:35 PM Eastern)Pick: 4 units on Connecticut -1.5 (-110) (risk 4 to win 3.6)
The Sun started as an underdog in this game and they are now favored. I agree with the money movement as I really like Connecticut to get the win here. Candace Parker is done for the season and that opens a window here for a road win for the Sun. While the Sun are 0-3 on the road this season, they are the better team here. They are coming off an embarrassing double-digit loss at Indiana and usually in the WNBA that means a strong showing next game out. Connecticut has covered all six games this season in which they have been a favorite. They are also 6-1 straight-up in their last seven following a 10+ point loss to a division rival. I like the Sun here.

The Indiana Fever were off to a slow start, but don't be fooled as this team that made the WNBA Finals a year ago, is primed to get there again. The Fever have had a sensational run at home over t...

The Atlanta Dream have certainly come of age, but there is some weakness to what they do, especially on the road. This is a team that relies on four players to do almost all the scoring, and this will...

The Sparks have been the biggest disappointment in the early going this season. Expected to contend for a title, they sit at 2-7 thus far. Thank goodness they get a team that is worse than them here. ...

The Phoenix Mercury are a lot of fun to watch as they like to get up and down the court like the NBA's Golden St. Warriors. The problem is these games, at ten minutes a quarter, don't allow fo...

The Atlanta Dream has come a long way since their horrible start just two years ago. The number here is a bit inflated on the total as the Dream went through a four game stretch where they were on fir...
