Today's WNBA Basketball Picks:
Game: San Antonio at Phoenix (10:00 PM Eastern)
Pick: 3 units on Phoenix +2 (-120) (risk 3 to win 2.5)
The WNBA resumes tonight after a long layoff due to the Olympics. This game features the San Antonio Silver Stars, making the trip into the desert to face the Phoenix Mercury. San Antonio has the best record in the WNBA, and Phoenix sits at the bottom of the West. The great equalizer however is the home court. San Antonio has dominated teams on their own court to a 12-2 mark, but has been less-than-ordinary on the road where they are a sub-.500 6-7. Phoenix is a better than .500 team on their own court which has been the fashion in the WNBA West, where home teams have combined to go 68-26 SU or winning 72% of the time. To get a home dog here against a sub-.500 road team is a valued proposition to take, and we will back the Mercury.
