The Detroit Shock has certainly been disappointing this season. After a WNBA Championship, they were expected to contend again. Injuries took their toll early on this team as they got out of the gate slow, and were basically not competitive. They started 2-6 and were beaten in five of the six losses by double-digits. This team is a much more respectable 7-8 since then, but a closer look shows they have been ultra competitive. The Shock, in those last eight losses have dropped just two by double-digits, and the other six losses have been by five points or less, or decided in OT. The Sky opened with high hopes at 6-3, but has since been just 7-10, and in their last six games, they show just one win by more than three points. The Sky is still having trouble on defense allowing almost 80 points per game on the season, and the Shock have been playing OVERs when well rested as four of their last five on three days rest have topped the total. I like Detroit here, and the over.

The Seattle Storm needs a wakeup call and having the Fever come in will provide that. Indiana has proven to be the team to beat in the WNBA, and Seattle would like to get in their heads here, if they should meet in the playoff finals. If there is a team capable of delivering at home, it is certainly Seattle. They have the best home record in the WNBA, going back 33 games, where they stand at 29-4. Indiana has shown some chinks in the armor against the West where they have dropped three of their last five, and have always struggled as they are just 6-15 ATS in their last 21 against the Western Conference. They have brought the offense after their losses as they are 6-0 to the OVER after a straight-up loss and the Storm have played six of their last eight to the OVER, and four of the last five in this series have gone OVER as well. I like Seattle here and the OVER.
