Today's WNBA Basketball Picks:

Game: Indiana at Connecticut (5:05 PM Eastern)

The last two times these teams met, the final total scores equaled 144 and 145. While these teams can score, they tend not to go crazy when they face each other. Connecticut has always been an UNDER team when facing good shooting teams. Versus teams that hit 44%+ from the field, the Sun are 38-22 UNDER. As a small home favorite (-3 or less), they are 23-10 UNDER and after a home win in which they scored 85+ points, they are 15-1 UNDER the past three seasons! Indiana is 44-21 UNDER after a high-scoring game in which both teams scored 75 or more. I like this game to go UNDER.

Neither of these teams can play defense but I believe Minnesota has a strong motivation edge in this game. The last time these teams met in this building, San Antonio delivered an upset win over the Lynx. You can bet Minnesota players remember that and will be fighting hard to make sure that doesn't repeat here. Teams revenging a loss, coming off a big home win have hit at a 68% clip ATS. When San Antonio has won two of their last three games, they are a great fade (0-7 ATS this season). They are also 3-15 ATS this season when coming off a win over a division rival, as they are here. And, when coming off a home win in which they scored 85+ points, they are 1-8 ATS the past three seasons. In fact, over the past two seasons, the Stars are just 5-20 ATS when coming off a win of any kind. I like Minnesota here.
