Game: Los Angeles at Tulsa (8:00 PM Eastern)

The season has been a nightmare for the Tulsa Shock with just five wins heading down the stretch. This team isn't good to begin with, but as the purpose begins to wane, so has the defense. The Shock has allowed 100+ points in four of their last nine games. The ledger does not read well for the Shock on the defensive end, as they have allowed 94.2 points per game in the nine. To put that in perspective, the Phoenix Mercury average 95.5 ppg, and when they hosted LA the total was 177.5! Why is this any different from that one? The Sparks have picked-up the scoring, as they have been in the 70s or better in eight straight, and their previous longest stretch in the 70s was six games, so the offense has improved, and the Tulsa defense is simply not stopping anyone. I like the OVER in this one.

The Atlanta Dream's loss last night pushed them all the way down to fourth in the crazy WNBA East. The good news is they are still just one game away from a playoffs spot, so this game takes on huge implications for them. This is a team that has averaged 86.6 points per game in their last 21. Chicago, held all eight opponents under 80 after an eight-game stretch, and were allowing an average of just 66.5 ppg, has suddenly quit. The Sky, in their last five, has allowed every team into the 80s or better, so that is a significant change on focus. The Sky's 8-4 run has turned sour at 1-5 in their last six. I like Atlanta and the OVER in this one.
