Nhl Playoff Predictions - November 15, 2008
Two NHL premium picks today...
Today's NHL Hockey Picks:
Game: Boston at New York Rangers (7:05 PM Eastern)
Pick: 2 units on New York Rangers -125 (moneyline) (risk 2 to win 1.6)
The Rangers are playing tough on home ice as witnessed by their 20 goals allowed in their 11 at home. That works out to be 1.82 goals per game, and puts pressure on the opponent to find the win column. The Bruins are surging with five straight wins, but four of those came at home, with the lone road game requiring a shootout, and they dropped the road game before that. Their last trip to New York last season saw the Bruins winners of seven of their last 10 -not finding the net at all in a loss. The Rangers are stingy at home which provides value and wins on home ice and I'll back them in this one.
Game: Washington at New Jersey (7:05 PM Eastern)Pick: 2 units on New Jersey +110 (moneyline) (risk 2 to win 2.2)
The Capitals get the road chalk status off of five-straight wins. But note, four of the five have wins been on home ice. They have also dropped two of their last three on the road and rest below .500 on the season when taking to the road. The five-game toot includes a win over the Devils last night, but they dropped a decision already on the road against the Devils this season. The Caps’ road woes take on an even worse look when you consider they are just 1-5 on no rest. The Devils have sparkled against the Southeast, logging a 20-8 mark. We have a very live dog here, so the Devils get the call.
