Nhl Playoff Predictions - November 02, 2008

We had a rough go of it yesterday, winning just one game. Today we come back looking for the 2-0 sweep.

Today's NHL Hockey Picks:

Game: Florida at Atlanta (5:05 PM Eastern)
Pick: 3 units on Atlanta -111 (moneyline) (risk 3 to win 2.7)

Atlanta has struggled this season, but they are favored here for a reason. This is their best chance yet to break out of their slump. Florida has lost three straight, scoring on average one goal per game. On the young season, they are averaging just 1.8 goals per game ont he road while allowing 3.3 per game. Over the past two seasons, Florida is now 3-19 on the road when playing back-to-back games. I'll take the Thrashers here.

Calgary looks for their seventh straight win here, but I don't think they get it. Anaheim has been on a tear too, going 5-1 over their last six games, scoring 4.5 per game in the process. Over the past couple of seasons, the Ducks are 24-7 at home vs. teams that score 3+ goals per game. They'll be up for this one and ready, after their loss last game.
