Today's NHL Hockey Picks:

Game: Chicago at Detroit (7:30 PM Eastern)
Pick: 3 units on Game Total UNDER 5.5 +120 (risk 3 to win 3.6)

The Redwings have dominated the Blackhawks so far to take a 3-1 series lead and will go for the closeout tonight in Detroit. Teams that face the inevitability of elimination usually step up the intensity. I would expect a physical tight checking game from the Blackhawks tonight faced with an elimination game. The Blackhawks have shown some of that as they have come back from a three goal loss or more to play five consecutive unders the last five games off of a big loss. The Redwings have shown a bit of a letdown factor as well as they have played 4-1 to the under after a five goal or more outburst. The Redwings have also played 6-2-1 under in their last nine as a -201 favorite or greater. I'll play this one to go UNDER the total.
