Nhl Prediction - May 20, 2010What a week! Over the last eight days in the NHL playoffs, we have posted a perfect 7-0 mark for +22 units. Today we hit the ice hard with a pair of 5-unit picks.
![]() Today's NHL Hockey Picks: The Montreal Canadiens are fortunate to be here at the No. 8 and final seed, and the difference sure has shown in the first two games. The Flyers may have actually caught a good break, out of what looked to be a bad one, when Brian Boucher went down. Michael Leighton is on fire behind the net, coming off the bench for 35 scoreless minutes vs. Boston, and has now allowed just 4 goals in five games. Those numbers include stopping every Montreal shot on goal through the first two in this series, and the Flyers have penetrated the net nine times already. The Flyers are playing better than anyone right now and have to be considered a very live dog here, so I'll go with Philly in game three.Game: Philadelphia at Montreal (7:05 PM Eastern) Pick: 5 units on Philadelphia +1.5 goals -275 (puckline) (risk 5 to win 1.8) Looking at how hot replacement goaltender Michael Leighton is right now, makes this one very worthwhile. Leighton has stopped every shot in this series, and has allowed 4 goals total in better than 4.5 games. At the same time, the Flyers offense is taking more liberties, knowing that they have a goaltender that is stopping everything in sight. It has translated accordingly, with 9 goals in the first two in this series. I'll back Philadelphia on the puckline here. ![]() NHL Hockey Picks Resources:
