Nhl Playoff Predictions - May 17, 2008
We're back from the mini-break with a pick in this afternoon's game.

Today's NHL Hockey Picks:
Game: Dallas at Detroit (1:30 PM Eastern)
Pick: 3 units on Detroit -1.5 goals +115 (puckline) (risk 3 to win 3.5)
Dallas came out hard in their must-win game four at home and staved off elimination by defeating the Red Wings 3-1. It was Detroit's third loss in 14 playoff games and while a bit surprising, we all knew Dallas would come out with a purpose - to avoid the sweep. Well, they have done that. Now they must go back to Detroit and try to win back-to-back games. Not gonna happen. We like Detroit here and will back them at a dog price on the -1.5 puck line. Dallas' game four win doesn't change the fact that they are vastly outclassed here. Detroit wants to close this thing out and get ready for the finals. This team is winning in the playoffs by an average score of 4.0 to 1.8. They are 22-4 the past two seasons at home against winning teams that are .600 or less. They are also 22-5 over the past three seasons revenging a loss in which they scored under two goals. We like the Red Wings to win big here.
