It's been fourteen years since the Edmonton Oilers have reached the conference finals. They can do it tonight with a win over the Sharks. Many of us were shocked by their impressive 6-3 victory in game five. That win gave them the all important game to go up 3-2. What's more impressive is that it was done on the road. Edmonton knows this is their shot right here. They want nothing less than to have to return to San Jose with the series tied. This is a must-win game for both clubs and I like the home team with momentum. San Jose is now 4-14 on the season following a loss by 2+ goals and 0-6 following two straight losses by 2+ goals. They are also 5-11 off a home loss. They obviously can tend to go on bad runs and this appears like one to me. They have managed just 2.4 goals per game vs. Edmonton while allowing 3.4. The Oilers should take this one down and advance to meet Anaheim.
