Free Hockey Picks - May 08, 2009We got the win with Vancouver on the puckline last night. Tonight we return to the NHL Playoffs with one 4-unit premium pick.
![]() Today's NHL Hockey Picks: The Carolina Hurricanes have won two straight after suffering a loss in the opener to the Bruins. They have out-scored the Bruins in the series through three games. This team is on fire when playing on home ice where they have gone 15-2 over their last 17 home games. They have not only won, but they have won big. The Hurricanes are out-scoring their opponents 65-30 during this 17-game home streak or by over two goals a game. The Bruins coasted through the Canadiens in a four-game sweep to get here, but are finding a lot more resistance from Carolina, as they are down 2-1 in the series. The Bruins have not been killing teams on the road by any stretch, as they would be 5-12 in their last 17 if facing a -1.5 puckline on the road. The Hurricanes are hot, and in what should be a tightly checked defensive battle in game four, I will take Carolina on the puckline at home. ![]() NHL Hockey Picks Resources:
