Both the Dallas Stars and the Detroit Red Wings are coming off of back-to-back wins, so something has got to give in this Western Conference battle. Dallas had the offense going on Tuesday night, blanking the Phoenix Coyotes 6-0. While Dallas posted the shutout win, Detroit had to dig deep to best the conference leading Nashville squad to earn a tie for the conference’s best record. Dallas is 4-1 SU over their last five games as well as playing to the OVER in 4 of their last 5. Detroit has played to the UNDER in 4out of 5 meetings with Dallas and since the Stars have the offense firing on all cylinders, we are going with the road dog in this one. Dallas is the play.

The fans at RBC Center will be treated to a great game between the Lightning and the Hurricanes when they take their seats on Friday. Tampa Bay is 12-6 SU in its last 18 road games. Tampa is playing their fourth and final match-up at Carolina tonight, the Lightning look to catch Atlanta in the Southeast Division. The Hurricanes enter Friday night's contest following a 5-1 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers. Yes the Flyers - the worst team in the NHL. Despite going into the third period fighting a one-goal deficit against Philadelphia, the Hurricanes allowed three goals in 20 minutes of play to drop their second consecutive game. Tampa is a much better team Carolina and should make this one easy. Take Tampa over Carolina tonight.
