Today's NHL Hockey Picks:
Game: Tampa Bay at Montreal (7:30 PM Eastern)

The Tampa Bay Lightning have not been that great on the road at 12-18, but what they have done is won some huge games as a big dog. One of those came on the road vs this same Montreal team as a +260 underdog, resulting in a 3-1 Lightning win. They have also won their last two as a +200 or more dog vs Florida, and Calgary. Montreal has been tough at home and seems to rise to the occasion vs the good teams, but also they have been a no-show vs the weaker teams. The last three times they have been offered at -200 or more at home they have faltered and they are now 1-5 in their last six games vs a team with a .400 or lower winning percentage. Lots of life in this big dog, and I'll go with Tampa Bay here.
