![]() Today's NHL Hockey Picks: The Sabres have been piling up the goals of late as they have scored 30 in their last nine good for 3.3 a game. That puts pressure on Florida in this one because the Sabres, in their last five played on home ice, have allowed one goal or less three times. That puts Florida behind the eight-ball in this one as they are struggling offensively right now. The Panthers have managed to score just 13 times in their last seven games, less than two a contest, and it has shown in the win column as they are just 1-6 in these last seven games. Their road woes vs teams with a winning home record stands at 40-119-9 in their last 168. Hard to see a way for them here, and I'm backing the Sabres.Game: Minnesota at New York Islanders (7:00 PM Eastern) Pick: 3 units on New York Islanders +100 (moneyline) (risk 3 to win 3) The New York Islanders have played horrendously on the road all season, but have gotten positive results at home where they are a better than .500 team. Those results recently have been extremely positive as they have taken four of their last five. The Wild has been a miserable road team and their recent road performance has been even worse as they have now dropped their last five. The Wild has also been at their worst playing on consecutive nights where they have posted a 35-72-10 mark. I'll take the Islanders here.Game: San Jose at Chicago (7:00 PM Eastern) Pick: 3 units on Game Total UNDER 5.5 -120 (risk 3 to win 2.5) The San Jose Sharks are not a team to go against at the Shark Tank, but on the road they are fair game. Their recent woes have seen them having a lot of difficulty putting the puck in the net. Away from the Tank, they have managed just 17 goals in their last nine games, and if you consider they had a five goal outburst vs Minnesota, that leaves 12 in the other eight games, or 1.5 per contest. The Blackhawks are a struggling team right now with just two wins in their last nine. They have been the perfect under team after a game where they allowed eight or more power play attempts as they are a perfect 8-0 to the under in their next game. San Jose's scoring woes has shown them playing under in 12 of their last 16, and I'll go under in this one. Results: 1-2 ![]() NHL Hockey Picks Resources:
