We slipped up on the ice yesterday going 1-3 for the day.  Over the past five months our NHL picks are 269-205 for +110.6 units.  We look to add to that tonight with two premium selections including a 5 unit play.

Game: Calgary at Colorado (9:05 PM Eastern)
Pick: 3 units on Calgary +100 (moneyline) (risk 3 to win 3)

The Calgary Flames have played good hockey all season long and have the same number of road losses as the Avalanche have home loses. The Flames aren't giving up much right now as only one team has scored four goals or more on them in their last 16 games, which let's you know they will be in just about every game they play. Looking at the other side, the Avalanche have allowed three goals or more in eight of their last nine games, and with a Calgary team not allowing more than three just once in almost two months of hockey, it certainly puts them on the value side of this play. The Avalanche have also had huge failures in the second of back-to back games, where they are just 1-8 in their last nine. I'll go with Calgaray here.

There is a huge advantage here on the Flames grabbing the puckline and the +1.5. First of all the Avalanche have allowed three plus goals in eight of their last nine, while Calgary has allowed three or less in 15 of their last 16. That certainly puts a pretty comfortable look at the outcome here. The Avalanche have also dropped eight of their last nine on zero days rest, so winning by 2+ here seems very unlikely. I'll play Clagary on the puckline in this one.
