Toronto has been a decent road team all season but they showed how susceptible they are yesterday at Washington, losing 5-1 as a -200 favorite. Now they play back-to-back nights on the road and face a better Montreal team. Montreal is scoring 3.0 per game of late while Toronto is getting just 2.4 per game (last five games). Neither team plays a lick of defense so this one should go to the home team that is scoring better.

While they score 2.9 and allow 3.5 per game on average overall, Boston scores just 2.4 and allows 2.8 versus division opponents. The Rangers are 20-12 UNDER at home this year and over their past five games, 3.8 total goals on average have been scored. New York is 20-9 UNDER vs. losing teams this season and 12-5 UNDER vs. teams that are outscored by opponents by 0.3+ goals per game. Finally, they are 11-2 UNDER following a low scoring game (3 or fewer total goals scored).

Three of the last four meetings between these clubs 7+ goals were scored. Ottawa averages 3.6 goals per game at home and 4.0 per game in their last five. Philadelphia games of late have been low scoring but they still allow 3.7 per game on the road on the season. They'll break out of this slump at some time but we don't think it's tonight. Edmonton is just 4-13 now this sesaon off a home loss. And, favorites off 3 straight losses playing a team off 2 straight losses are 133-43 (76%) over hte past decade.
