Washington is struggling right now having lost nine in a row. How can we back them here? They have a shot against a mediocre Toronto club that gives up a lot on defense and has been struggling to score on offense. Toronto has had very limited success against poor defenisve teams like Washington. The Maple Leafs are 10-21 this season vs. teams that allow 29+ shots on goal and 17%+ power play conversion. We'll take a shot on Washington at +170 here.

On the surface, it looks like an OVER play here makes sense. Both of these teams have been involved in high-scoring games of late and they have played to very high totals the last few times they have met. But those some of those, especially the road games for Montreal, were an anomoly. Montreal is 19-11 UNDER on the road this season. Pittsburgh is 20-14 UNDER at home this season. So, we have great value here with those kind of stats and a 6.5 total. Montreal's off a 5-3 win but they are 11-3 UNDER this season on the road following a 4+ goal performance. They are also 11-3 UNDER on the road vs. terrible defensive teams allowing 3+ goals per game. Pittsburgh has scored 3+ goals in six straight games but they are 17-6 UNDER in their last 23 following five straight games of scoring 3 or more. Let's look for things to return more to normal between these clubs and for this game to go UNDER.
