Today's NHL Hockey Picks:

Game: Buffalo at Toronto (7:00 PM Eastern)

Toronto should get Mats Sundin back for this one. With him, we like the Maple Leafs vs. the Sabres who are 1-4 in their last five games, allowing 3.8 goals per game. On the season Buffalo is 15-21 on the road. Toronto has won seven of their last ten scoring 4+ in four of those games. Buffalo's defense is extremely suspect so we'll back the home team here.

The Rangers have been hot but with their loss last game, they have lost two of their last five. Tampa Bay has won two in a row by a combined score of 11-5. New York has gone UNDER three in a row while Tampa Bay has gone OVER in just three of their last nine games. New York is 60-35 UNDER the past two seasons on the road vs. teams that allow 2.9+ goals per game. They are also 24-11 UNDER the past two seasons on the road revenging a loss in which they gave up 4+ goals including 13-5 UNDER if they gave up 5 or more. Tampa Bay and the UNDER here.

Edmonton has been an OVER team but tonight they visit the Coyotes who are averaging 4.4 total goals per game over their last five. They have gone OVER in just two of their last twelve games. The Oilers offense is not explosive and with their defense struggling, we expect Phoenix' defense to continue to play well and keep this game UNDER 6 goals.
