Six straight games between these two clubs played in Boston have gone UNDER. Washington has averaged 1.2 goals per game over the past five games while Boston has managed 2.4. Boston is also playing excellent defense right now. Washington is 16-8 UNDER this season vs. poor defensive teams while Boston is 13-5 UNDER at home following a non-confrerence game the past two seasons. The Bruins are also 19-9 UNDER at home following a road win over that span.

When these teams met twice in December, they scored 6 total goals and then 2 total. While suspect away from home, Ottawa's defense is stout at home (2.4 goals per game), leading to a 20-16 UNDER record at home. The Islanders are 10-2 UNDER on the road the past two seasons vs. top-level teams (those that outscore opponents by 0.5+ goals per game). They are also 11-4 UNDER this season off a road loss. Ottawa is 13-4 UNDER at home this season vs. losing teams.

Buffalo scores 3.6 per game on the road. They are slumping a bit offensively of late but they bounced back with 4 goals at Pittsburgh on Tuesday. They have now scored 4+ goals in six of their last ten games. They have allowed 3+ in eight of those ten games and 5+ in half of them. Florida pounds in 3.5 goals per game at home. Buffalo is 12-4 OVER this season after three straight bad defensive performances (3+ allowed). They are 8-1 OVER the past two seasons following three consecutive losses.

San Jose is riding high. They have won four of five, scoring 18 goals and allowing just 3 in that stretch. They may not take Phoenix too seriously here. But, Phoenix has put together two great offensive performances, scoring 12 goals in their last two games. San Jose is just 11-15 the past two seasons vs. teams at 40%-49%. They are also 4-7 this season coming off a home win in which they scored 4+ goals. Take Phoenix +1.5 goals to keep it close.

St. Louis has won five of the last seven times these teams have met. They have taken two of the last three played here in Vancouver, too. Their defense has been horrible but their offense has picked up which will give them a chance here agains a Canucks team that doesn't score a lot. The Blues have scored 3+ goals in seven of their last ten games and gotten 5 goals three times. This team is 17-14 overall since the mid-way point including 11-6 vs. winning teams. They are 9-3 in their last twelve games vs. great defensive teams (allowing 2.5 goals or less per game). Vancouver is just 11-22 revenging a road loss the past two seasons.
