The Kings have been poor offensively for most of the season and have already been shutout nine times. However, there have been some very noticeable changes over their last 22 games. The Kings scored only 106 goals in their first 44 games, or 2.4 per contest. They have increased that output dramatically over their last 22. They have crossed the line 70 times, good for 3.2 goals a game - a dramatic increase by NHL standards. They have been even better than that over their last four games averaging four goals per game, leading to a three game winning streak. The Canuks, after posting a 12-2 mark, are now on a two game losing streak and heading in the opposite direction. The Kings are well rested and are 4-0 off of three day’s rest. This is a good spot for them here, so I'll play them in this one.
