Boston is fighting to make the playoffs and they need a win. They are playing very solid defense right now (10 goals allowed in last five games). Detroit could get caught sleep-walking through this one with a back-to-back against Nashville on deck. They only managed to be LA by one goal last game, indicating they aren't in a mood to be blowing out bad teams. Further evidence is that the Red Wings are just 6-10 the past two seasons at home vs. teams at 40%-50% winning percentage. Boston is a .500 proposition this season (21-21) vs. great offensive teams that score 3+ per game so don't automatically count them out.

Los Angeles has managed to win six of the last fourteen vs. Dallas including three of the last seven here in Dallas. Dallas is playing horrible hockey right now. They have lost four of their last five games averaging just 1.8 goals per game over htat stretch. The Stars are just 13-14 this season vs. losing teams! If Dallas plays like it has been, they will get beat here and for a 2.5 to 1 payoff, we'll take a chance on the Kings.
