Do the Toronto Maple Leafs have something on the Ottawa Senators? The last meeting saw the Maple Leafs absolutely abuse the Senators in a 5-0 shutout win, a game they dominated in every facet. They certainly have to be feeling confident coming in here. They also beat this Ottawa team the time before that, 3-2, and for a bad team they certainly have gotten into the heads of a good Ottawa team. They have been in every game against the Senators this season and own a positive scoring margin in the last four games. The Senators don't seem to come to play vs poor teams and are just 1-4 in their last five vs teams under .400. I'll go with Toronto here.

Hurricanes have resumed NHL play maintaining their hot hand. They won their last five before the Olympic break and have come out posting two more, to run the string to seven. This team is really getting it done between the pipes and on the defensive end. Over their last 13 games, the Hurricanes have allowed an average of under two goals a game, that will make this total hard to catch especially when you consider Carolina has only reached four goals or more six times the entire season on the road. Panthers should do their part as they are 6-0 to the under in their last six as a home favorite and 24-9-1 to the under  in their last 34 vs a team with a losing record. I'll ride with the UNDER in this one.
