Today's NHL Hockey Picks:

Game: Minnesota at Carolina (7:00 PM Eastern)
Pick: 3 units on Game Total OVER 5.5 -115 (risk 3 to win 2.6)

Carolina has gone UNDER just two times in their last ten games. The las tthree seasons they have a tendancy to go OVER in consecutive games (69-51 OVER after an OVER) and last game totaled 9 goals. They are also 19-11 oVER off a win this season. Minnesota's defense on the road has been poor all season and we like this one to go OVER.

Sidney Crosby is back. The Penguins have won the first three meetings this season. So why can Florida win this? They are looking for revenge and the Penguins have been mediocre all season on the road. Florida is also playing great defense while Pittsburgh's offense is struggling (7 goals in last five games). Florida is 31-23 the past thee seasons at home vs. winning teams. We like them here as a small home dog.

Over their last five games the Predators are averaging 3.4 goals per game while allwoing 3.8 per game. With that kind of scoring, a total of 5 is too low. Vancouver isn't a good enough team to force their will on anyone. Nashville is off a road win and they are 24-12 OVER in that situation dating back to last year. Vancouver is off a loss and they are 15-7 OVER off a loss this season.
