Exclusive 100% Bonus at BetPhoenix! ![]() Today's NHL Hockey Picks: The battle of New York brings the Rangers into town against the home-standing Islanders. The Islanders have been an offensive mess all season long and have now scored just 49 goals in their last 23 games - barely over two per contest. That has also translated into two-thirds of their last 21 games going UNDER. The Rangers have had similar problems as they have managed two or less goals in 16 of their last 22 games. That has led to superb value on the UNDER as the Rangers have posted a mark of 14-2 to the UNDER in their last 16 road games. The Islanders have played to a 10-4 mark to the UNDER in their last 14 at home. The last 11 times these two teams have met on the island, the under is also 9-1-1. I'm riding the UNDER in this one.Game: Toronto at Washington (7:00 PM Eastern) Pick: 4 units on Toronto +250 (moneyline) (risk 4 to win 10) Has the bloom come off the rose in Washington? The Capitals opened the season a Superman-like 18-2 at home, but what has transpired since is not so super. The Caps have dropped three of their last four at home. They are now just a pedestrian 7-7 at home in their last 14. That includes losing as a -200 or more favorite five times! The Maple Leafs have been equal opportunity on the ice lately, regardless of the competition. Their last seven games have resulted in either a shootout, or decided in OT, so they will likely be around at the conclusion of this one battling for a win. The odds are very out of whack here as Washington is a sinking ship. I will grab the big dog here and back Toronto.Game: Columbus at Nashville (8:00 PM Eastern) Pick: 3 units on Nashville -135 (moneyline) (risk 3 to win 2.2) The Predators are as hot as they have been all season. They had not won more than three straight until now, but their streak has reached five. It isn't just the five games, it is the fact they have done it in resounding fashion, playing good hockey. The Predators are out-scoring their opponents 24-9 in the five games. And in the last four, all at home, they have blistered the net for 23 goals. The Blue Jackets will have their hands full heading into this hornets nest as they have gone just 4-8 on the road in their last 12. Only one way to play this one, the Predators get the call!Game: Dallas at Los Angeles (10:30 PM Eastern) Pick: 5 units on Los Angeles -110 (moneyline) (risk 5 to win 4.6) The Kings sure will be glad to get back on home ice where they are even-up on the season at 13-13. They are off a five-game road trip, losing the last four. The Stars have certainly been no bargain of late as they have made deposits in the loss column in five of their last six. The offense has been bad as they have managed 10 goals in the six games for 1.67 per game. The Stars inconsistency is showing in their 9-23 mark after allowing two goals or less in their previous game. Meanwhile, the Kings are rebounding after sub-par effort as they are now 4-1 in their last five after allowing five goals or more. I'll take the Kings at home. Results: 3-1 ![]() NHL Hockey Picks Resources:
