darrell,
We were on Edmonton in game one and they blew a 3-0 lead to lose that game. Then we jumped on Carolina in game two and they cruised to an easy victory. Who to go with in game three? I've got a pick below...

Game: Carolina at Edmonton (8:05 PM Eastern) Pick: 1 star on Edmonton -108
I liked Edmonton a lot in this series before the loss of Roloson. Without him we knew it was going to be tough for the Oilers and now down 2-0, nearly impossible. But, I like them at home in this game. They return home (big advantage for this team) off an embarassing 5-0 loss. They are in a must-win situation and they've had a game now without Roloson. The shock of him going down is gone and the team has a game under their belt without him. I think they find a way to win this important game. Carolina wants to win it but Edmonton HAS to win it and they will fight and scratch all the way to the final buzzer. This is a situational play. Home Favorites of -200 or less off 2 or more consecutive road losses, playing with 2 days rest are 47-15 (76%) in the NHL over the past decade. And, road teams off 2 or more consecutive home wins facing an opponent off 2 or more consecutive road losses are just 16-37 (30%) over the last 5 seasons. Oilers at home here.

| How
much to bet? I recommend 1% of your bankroll for every
star. A one-star pick = 1% of bankroll. A five-star pick
= 5% of bankroll. It is strongly recommended that
you never bet more than 5% of your bankroll on any given
game! Remember, there are no such thing as locks.
Never bet over your head and you'll live to see another
day. Approach your bets as an investment that grows steadily
over the long-term. For more, see
