Game: Philadelphia at Buffalo (7:00 PM Eastern) Pick: 2 units on Game Total OVER 6 -119 (risk 2 to win 1.7)
The last three games these two teams have played against each other resulted in scores of 9, 10 and 8 total goals. Philadelphia is on a scoring spree having scored 3.8 per game over their last nine games. They also gave up a lot over that span (3.6 per game). Buffalo has been involved in lower-scoring affairs but they still have topped 6 goals four times in their last nine games. The past two seasons the Flyers are 27-12 OVER vs. very good teams like Buffalo (those that outscore opponents by 0.3+ goals per game).
Game: Boston at Toronto (7:00 PM Eastern) Pick: 2 units on Boston +210 (risk 2 to win 4.2) Pick: 2 units on Game Total OVER 6 -133 (risk 2 to win 1.5)
Eleven of the last fifteen in this series have gone UNDER the total but most of those games had totals set higher than this one. Toronto teed off on the Bruins for 10 goals last game and we like Boston's chances to pull of a big upset here, motivated by revenge. Boston has quietly won six of eight games scoring close to 4 goals per game. Toronto's defense is very susceptible as they have allowed 3.3 per game on the season and 3.6 of late. This is a good matchup for Boston as they are 7-3 this season on the road vs. poor defensive teams that allow 3+ per game. The Bruins are 15-6 to the OVER revenging a loss the past two seasons. Toronto just 12-17 at home on the year and a ridiculous 3-9 here vs. losing teams! They seem to play down to their competition and that's what we'll be banking on here.
Game: Florida at Tampa Bay (7:30 PM Eastern) Pick: 2 units on Florida +164 (risk 2 to win 3.3)
Florida enjoys facing the Lightning, having won 8 of the last 12 in the matchup. Yes, this team is just 7-24 on the road, but they have won three of four including a road victory at Ottawa on Valentine's Day. Tampa Bay's defense has gotten worse of late while Florida's has improved. Tampa Bay is just 14-16 the past two sesaons at home vs. bad teams (40% or worse). Florida has a shot here to surprise.
