 The Rangers lost by one in the past two meetings - both in Tampa Bay. Prior to that they beat Tampa Bay 4-1 here at home. We think they have another good shot at pulling off a 2+ goal win here at home. Tampa Bay can score but of late they have not been scoring so well. Their defense has stepped up but they still allow 3.4 goals per game on the road this season. They are susceptible to the power play goal - an area of strength for New York. Tampa Bay has won four in a row but two of those victories came against very weak competition (Philadelphia and Los Angeles). The other win was against this Rangers team who is now looking for revenge. New York has lost four straight but they faced Tampa Bay, Detroit and New Jersey. On the surface this looks like a good spot for Tampa Bay but New York is a bit backed up against the wall and will come out fighting. Let's take them -1.5 goals on the puck line for a better than 2-to-1 payout.
