Today's NHL Hockey Picks:

Game: Philadelphia at Atlanta (3:00 PM Eastern)
Pick: 2 units on Game Total UNDER 6 -110 (risk 2 to win 1.8)

Philly games are averaging well over 6 goals at home, but on the road, their games are averaging just 5.5 per game. On the road, this team is 18-9 UNDER! Atlanta's defense is very poor but their weak offense balances that out. Over the past five games, the Thrashers have scored more than 2 goals just once, getting shutout twice as well. This season when playing losing teams, the Flyers are 11-3 UNDER. They are 11-2 UNDER vs. teams allowing 2.9+ goals per game. I like this one to come in at 6 or fewer goals.

Two very hot teams collide here. The Predators are 5-0-1 since the All Star break. Dallas is off a 10-point explosion but I think that hurts them here. We get a better line as a result and teams often fall flat after performances like that. If the Predators defense can continue their hot play, they have a good shot at winning this game. Dallas plays down to their competiton as they are just 10-19 this season vs. losing teams! They are alos 7-17 off a win this season. After putting up 10 goals, they could easily come out a bit over confident and flat tonight. I'll take the nice odds on Nashville here.
