Premium Picks

We rate each pick 1 to 5 units with 5 being the strongest play (read about units).
Risk 1% of your bankroll per unit (never risk more than 5% of total bankroll on any pick).

Game: New Jersey at Ottawa (7:00 PM Eastern)
Pick: 3 units on Ottawa -173 (risk 3 to win 1.7)

Ottawa comes home after having taken one in New Jersey. They now need to get this game to maintain the advantage they took. Losing two straight and one at home, would give New Jersey all of the momentum back. New Jersey is playing well but Ottawa better. In the playoffs, the Senators are 5-2, winning on average by a score of 3.6 to 2.4. Their two losses were by one goal each. At home this season they were 27-17 winning by 1.2 goals per game. New Jersey plays great defense, even on the road. But they don't score a lot typically and will have trouble matching Ottawa's offense here.

Game: Detroit at San Jose (10:00 PM Eastern)
Pick: 3 units on San Jose -142 (risk 3 to win 2.1)

San Jose started this series very strong, outscoring Detroit 4-0 through four periods. But, Detroit scored three unanswerd in the last two periods of game two to even the series at 1-1. They return home with confidence to a building in which they are 27-16 this season. They'll be facing a team that was merely .500 on the road on the season. San Jose won both games here this season, outscoring the Red Wings 14-5! Detroit, a great team at home, has been mediocre on the road this year where they have allowed more goals than they have scored. Their playoff defense has been outstanding but their offense has been lackluster. San Jose beats good teams here at home and they should take care of business tonight.
