Free Nhl Predictions - April 25, 2010We posted another winning day in All Sports yesterday going 10-4 for 71% and +14 units. yesterday's wins included going 4-2 on the NHL ice for 67% and +4.7 units. We are now hitting 65% in the NHL playoffs over the past week at 30-16 for +23.1 units, bringing our six month totals to 342-252 for +160.3 units. We have four premium picks in today's NHL action.
 Today's NHL Hockey Picks: The Detroit Redwings are at home and in position to close out the Coyotes as they are up in the series three games to two. Losing two of the first three games seemed to serve as a wakeup call for the Wings as they have taken the last two in relatively easy fashion, outscoring the Coyotes 7-1. Jimmy Howard has gotten hot behind the net, while Ilya Bryzgalov has struggled all series long as the Wings have put 18 pucks in the net through five games. The Wings have dominated playoff games as a favorite of -201 or more, entering here at 17-4. I'll go with Detroit here.Game: Phoenix at Detroit (2:00 PM Eastern) Pick: 1 unit on Detroit -1.5 goals +150 (puckline) (risk 1 to win 1.5) The Redwings got a wakeup call when they slipped to a 2-1 deficit through three games. Jimmy Howard has gotten hot in the net and the Wings are scoring 3.6 goals a game in the series, while suddenly the Coyotes can't score, tallying just one in the last two games. The Wings are 17-4 when a playoff chalk of -201 or more, and I like them to close out the series in resounding fashion and will play them on the puckline.Game: Vancouver at Los Angeles (9:00 PM Eastern) Pick: 3 units on Vancouver -125 (moneyline) (risk 3 to win 2.4) The Canucks had a crazy schedule this season with the Olympics being played in Vancouver, but it may be a blessing in disguise. It forced the Canucks to take on a 14 game road trip, which they came away with eight wins. It will help them in the playoffs as they have already taken two of three in Los Angeles. The offense is on fire with 13 goals in the last two games. They have also been very good vs an opponent allowing 5+ in their last games, having gone 21-7 in this situation, once for the win in this series. The Kings have dropped their last four vs an opponent off of scoring 5+. I like Vancouver in this one.Game: Vancouver at Los Angeles (9:05 PM Eastern) Pick: 1 unit on Vancouver -1.5 goals +250 (puckline) (risk 1 to win 2.5) The Canucks offense is on fire with 13 goals in the last two and, vs a team that allowed 5+ in their last game, they have now gone 21-7 in their last 28. The Kings are just the opposite losing their last four vs a team scoring 5+ in their last game. The Canucks offense is scorching right now, fueling a play on the puckline with Vancouver.
