Nhl Pick - April 22, 2009We missed our lone play on the NHL ice last night. Tonight we have three premium plays including a 4 unit selection. ![]() Today's NHL Hockey Picks: The Bruins are dominating the Canadiens in this series and if there was going to be some resistance we would of seen it in game three, but the Habs just had no answers and I expect Boston to continue on to the sweep tonight. The Bruins are up 3-0, but are also up 13-5 in goals scored, or winning by 2.6 a game. The Bruins have now won four straight games, all by two goals or more, while the Habs in their last 29 losses have lost 19 of them by two goals or more. I will ride with Boston on the puckline here. I also like the over in this one as Montreal has now allowed three or more goals in seven straight games and in their last 42 games overall have allowed four or more 20 times! These teams have played four straight overs and I look for this one to go OVER as well.Game: Washington at New York Rangers (7:00 PM Eastern) Pick: 3 units on Washington -130 (moneyline) (risk 3 to win 2.3) The Capitals were shocked by the Rangers as they were better than 2-1 choices in each of the first two in this series and came up short at home in both, to fall down 2-0 in the series and heading on the road. It certainly served as a wake up call as the Caps came roaring back on the road and won game three by an easy 4-0 count. The Rangers have struggled offensively as they have now scored just one time in the last two games, and now find themselves in the role of a home underdog once again, a role where they have not responded having gone just 4-9 in their last 13. The Caps have now built their record to 35-16 when allowing two goals or less in their previous game. I look for the Caps to regain home ice advantage with a win to even the series here.Game: Chicago at Calgary (10:00 PM Eastern) Pick: 4 units on Chicago +130 (moneyline) (risk 4 to win 5.2) The Blackhawks hold a 2-1 advantage in this series that has really played about dead even and the goal tally shows it certainly has been a stalemate as each team has netted eight goals. That offers some curious value on the dog here, especially when you look at the Blackhawks track record which shows five wins in the last six games played in Calgary, and the Blackhawks, despite the game three loss are still 8-2 overall in their last 10 games. The Flames as the season has come winding down have not been able to build off a win as they are a woeful 0-8 off of a win. I look for Chicago to come back and take control of this series and win here tonight. Results: 1-3 ![]() NHL Hockey Picks Resources:
