Game: New Jersey at Tampa Bay (1:00 PM Eastern) Pick: 3 units on New Jersey -115 (risk 3 to win 2.6)
New Jersey played a great game in game 5. Martin Brodeur delivered 31 saves in a 3-0 shutout and Scott Gomez scored his first goal of the playoffs. Jersey holds a 3-2 lead in the series and can clinch the series today. New Jersey has played extremely well on the road this season. The Devil's are 17-7 SU in its last 24 games on the road. When Brodeur is hot it's hard to go against the Devil's. This will be a close game and Tampa will play their top guns (Lecavalier, St. Louis) as much as they possibly can. New Jersey will out last Tampa in the end. We will take New Jersey on the road to clinch the series.
Game: Detroit at Calgary (9:00 PM Eastern) Pick: 4 units on Detroit -120 (risk 4 to win 3.3)
Easy win yesterday with Detroit. The power play paid off for us just like we noted. Calgary was playing with fire giving Detroit that many power plays. Calgary has managed only nine goals in this series, but won Games 3 and 4 by identical 3-2 scores. In games 3 and 4 Detroit was in those games until the very end. A puck bounce here or there and the Red Wings could already be into the second round. This game will be full of emotion but don't believe the hype on Calgary. Back-to-back playoff games is tough on both teams but Calgary will have the hardest time. Take the superior team in Detroit.
