![]() Today's NHL Hockey Picks: I've been on Boston in every game this series. They stole home ice and I believe tonight they all but seal this series. The Bruins have already won six of nine vs. Buffalo this season and Boston is simply the better team in my opinion. Over the past two seasons, the Bruins are 26-9 when coming off a win over a division rival. That includes a perfect 11-0 mark at home when coming off a home win. Many think this is a good spot for Buffalo to steal one and re-gain home ice. I think different. I really like Boston to win this game.Game: Buffalo at Boston (7:05 PM Eastern) Pick: 2 units on Boston -1.5 goals +250 (puckline) (risk 2 to win 5) Can Boston really win by 2+ goals here? Yes. They have shown dominance over Buffalo this season. It's a good matchup for the Bruins. While posting a 26-17 record at home, Buffalo has been outscored this season on the road. Their offense, never great, has fallen on hard as the season has winded down. They have been held to 2 or fewer goals in six of their last nine games. Given that Boston allows just 2.4 goals per game on the season (even less vs. familiar division foes), I think Buffalo will struggle to score here. I like Boston's chances at a big win.Game: Washington at Montreal (7:10 PM Eastern) Pick: 3 units on Washington -185 (moneyline) (risk 3 to win 1.6) The Canadiens shocked Washington in game one. After that, the Caps woke up, scoring 11 goals in the next two games and re-establishing home ice advantage. That opening game loss ensures no more letdowns for the Caps in this series. This team is 25-17 on the road this season, scoring a ridiculous 3.9 goals per game. With their offense clicking, Montreal, a losing team at home, will struggle to keep up. Despite the outcome in game one, this is a great matchup for Washington. The Caps are 20-2 this season vs. teams like Montreal that average 3+ less shots on goal per game than their opponents. Washington takes a commanding lead in the series with a win here.Game: Washington at Montreal (7:15 PM Eastern) Pick: 1 unit on Washington -1.5 goals +160 (puckline) (risk 1 to win 1.6) The Capitals made a statement last game, beating Montreal on their home ice 5-1. The fact is, Washington can win by 2+ in every game this series. Despite their loss in game one, Washington is a much better team and this is a good matchup for them. This season, the Caps are 40-15 when coming off a win! Montreal is 10-24 in their last 34 games after losing by 4+ goals. I look for Washington to have a good shot at a 2+ goal win here.Game: Vancouver at Los Angeles (10:05 PM Eastern) Pick: 5 units on Los Angeles +1.5 goals -300 (puckline) (risk 5 to win 1.7) The oddsmakers think this is a tossup. I like LA a lot here to at least keep the game close. I think the chances of Vancouver posting a big 2+ goal road win are very very slim. Let's remember that the Canucks are a losing road team, giving up 3.3 goals per game. The Kings are a winning home team, scoring 3.1 per game here at home. The Kings are 28-19 this season when coming off a win. This is a pivotal game that either puts the Kings up 3-1 or ends up with the series tied. I expect an all-out effort from LA and if that happens, the chances of them losing big are very small. Results: 3-2 ![]() NHL Hockey Picks Resources:
