Today's NHL Hockey Picks:

Game: Boston at Montreal (7:00 PM Eastern)
Pick: 2 units on Boston -130 (moneyline) (risk 2 to win 1.5)

The Bruins will head to Montreal after totally destroying the Canadiens in every facet of the game to go up 2-0 in the series. The Bruins outscored the Habs 9-3 in the two games. The Habs are scoreless on power plays in the two games, and they can't stop the Boston attack. This is heading to a short series. The Bruins aren't just dominating the Canadiens in the two playoff games, they have now taken seven straight from the Canadiens, and you know they are in their heads now. The Bruins have come back 23-6 after an opponent has given up five or more goals in a game, and the way that the Canadiens are struggling, even on the power play, is too much to ask. Boston goes up 3-0.

Game: Chicago at Calgary (9:30 PM Eastern)
Pick: 4 units on Chicago +125 (moneyline) (risk 4 to win 5)
The NHL playoffs have already been full of surprises, and now we move onto game three where the venues change. The Blackhawks have taken a pair of 3-2 decisions against Calgary to go up 2-0 in the series. That now means Chicago has won four straight games and eight of their last nine, including three straight on the road. The Flames have not finished the season strong, and are now mired in a streak of seven wins in their last 20 games - hardly the look of a playoff team. The problem is a struggling offense that has scored just 20 goals in their last 12 games, or just 1.7 per contest. That just isn't gonna get it done against a hot Blackhawks’ team that is also riding playoff momentum now. Chicago takes this one.

Results: 1-1
