Premium Picks

We rate each pick 1 to 5 units with 5 being the strongest play (read about units).
Risk 1% of your bankroll per unit (never risk more than 5% of total bankroll on any pick).

Game: Tampa Bay at New Jersey (7:00 PM Eastern)
Pick: 2 units on New Jersey -175 (risk 2 to win 1.1)

New Jersey's overtime road win could be a back-breaker for the Devils who had things exactly where they wanted them before that game four loss. A win would have given them a 3-1 lead heading back to New Jersey. Now the series is tied with the advantage squarely back in New Jersey's corner. Sports, especially in the playoffs, is much about momentum and the Devils now own it. Now they know that a loss here gives it right back to Tampa Bay. They must win this game to take advantage of their position. They expect to have defenseman Colin White back for this game (missed two games). New Jersey is now 18-3 in April games the past two seasons and they are 12-1 this season after an overtime win.

Game: New York Islanders at Buffalo (7:00 PM Eastern)
Pick: 5 units on Buffalo -310 (risk 5 to win 1.6)

Yes, a huge line but one that we like. Buffalo put the fork in New York on Wednesday with 4-2 road victory. This team is on a mission this season and they will want to end the series here and secure some extra rest. Even Islanders goalie Rick DiPietro admitted after game four that the Sabres are "smelling blood." Buffalo has won five of the last six played here at home against New York. The Islanders are just 19-24 on the road now this season, giving up 3.3 per game. They've allowed 3.2 per game in the playoffs while managing just 2.0. Buffalos is 24-6 the past two seasons off a road win in which they scored 4+ goals. Buffalo rolls to a series win tonight.
