Game: Philadelphia at Washington (1:00 PM Eastern)
Pick: 3 units on Washington -135 (moneyline) (risk 3 to win 2.2)
A tough double-overtime loss on Thursday set the Caps back in the series. The Caps played well in game 4 and have really kept things close in game 2 and 4. Game 5 returns to Washington. Home ice will treat the Caps well and we look for Ovechkin to finally break out of his slump. If the Caps goaltending can keep the soft goals out, the Caps have a great chance at home to win this game. Take the Caps over the Flyers in Game 5.
Game: Montreal at Boston (7:00 PM Eastern)Pick: 4 units on Montreal -130 (moneyline) (risk 4 to win 3.1)
This has been a very exciting series. Boston has really shown some grit lately winning the last game in easy fashion 5-1. Most people thought the series would be won handily by Montreal by a 4-0 sweep. That's obviously not the case. However, Montreal has a chance to wrap things up tonight in game 6. They definitely do not want to give Boston light and send it back to Montreal for game 7. If Montreal wants a long run in the playoffs and a chance for the Eastern Conference finals and the Stanley Cup Finals they must put Boston away tonight. Take the Habs over the Bruins tonight.
Game: Minnesota at Colorado (10:00 PM Eastern)Pick: 3 units on Colorado -170 (moneyline) (risk 3 to win 1.8)
Colorado got absolutely peppered on Thursday night. If it wasn't for Theodore in net for the Avs, Colorado could of easily lost that game 4-1. Theodore stole two to three goals on Thursday night and gave the Avs a chance to win. Let's not forget how important solid goaltending is in the playoffs. A hot goaltender can carry a team all the way to the finals. Theodore looks to be in that mind set. He has completely frustrated the Wild. The Avs have also shutdown leading goal scorer Gaborik. Solid goaltending, playing at home and momentum are three reasons to go with the Avs tonight. Take Colorado over Minnesota.
