Premium Picks

We rate each pick 1 to 5 units with 5 being the strongest play (read about units).
Risk 1% of your bankroll per unit (never risk more than 5% of total bankroll on any pick).

Game: Calgary at Detroit (1:00 PM Eastern)
Pick: 2 units on Detroit -240 (risk 2 to win 0.8)

Calgary is 0-5 SU in its last five games in addition they are 6-13 SU in its last 19 games on the road. Detroit is 4-1 against Calgary at home. Detroit simply dominated last game winning 4-1. Kiprusoff was peppered with 46 shots and was lucky to only allow 4 goals. Detroit will get off to a quick start and keep Calgary on their heals. Calgary may be able to keep this game close but Detroit will win in the end. Take Detroit in this Sunday afternoon game.

Game: Ottawa at Pittsburgh (6:00 PM Eastern)
Pick: 3 units on Ottawa -113 (risk 3 to win 2.7)

Let's not hand the cup to the Penguins quite yet. A great third period and a goal by Sid the Kid gave the Penguins a much needed win. However let's be real here. The Senators dominated this game in the first two periods. The fact Pittsburgh gave up 9 power plays is also very concerning. Ottawa will not let those chances go to waste today. If Pittsburgh continues to play with fire then Ottawa will score plenty of goals. Keep in mind Ottawa is 5-1 SU in its last 6 games on the road. We look for them to continue their winnings ways on the road. Take Ottawa in this one.

Game: Vancouver at Dallas (9:30 PM Eastern)
Pick: 3 units on Dallas -146 (risk 3 to win 2.1)

Luongo played great in Game one but Dallas has bounced back from a quadruple overtime loss on Friday. Dallas came out flying on Friday night and shutout Vancouver. Dallas is 5-0 SU in its last five games when playing at home against Vancouver. Dallas is 7-1 in the past eight games at home. Dallas made some much needed defensive adjustments shutting down the Sedine line. They also came out with much more fire power. Dallas will be up for this game at home and we look for an easy win here. Stay with the home team Sunday in Dallas.
