Expert Football Picks - October 21, 2008

We're off a winning week and look to keep that going with a pick in tonight's game.

Today's NCAA Football Picks:

Game: Ohio at Temple (Tuesday 10/21 8:00 PM Eastern)
Pick: 3 units on Game Total UNDER 42.5 -110

The Bobcats will be playing in their third straight on the road in this one and an offense that has managed under 20 points per game (less the VMI game) has managed only 14 per game when they are in the third of three straight on the road. Temple has sputtered on offense but has defended very well, allowing just 15 points per game if you take out the Penn State game which was a giant step up in class. The Owl's have managed just 17 ppg and that ranks them in the bottom 10 in all of NCAA Football. These teams met a year ago in a game that featured 30 total points score. I expect similar results tonight with a final score in the thirties. The weather is expected to feature winds of 15-20 MPH, with higher gusts, which may inhibit the Ohio passing game. Temple is now 14-5 UNDER in all games dating back to last season including 7-0 UNDER when coming off two straight UNDERs. They have gone UNDER in 11 of their last 12 home games following an ATS loss. I will back the UNDER in this one.
