Final Four Odd - November 30, 2009Aside from last night's 1-4 setback, we are hitting 61% over ther last week and a half at 20-13. Tonight we roll with three more premium CBB picks. ![]() Today's NCAA Basketball Picks: The Fairfield Stags may be 4-1, but the wins have come against teams that were simply much better them. When they stepped up in competition, they were beaten by 30 points and barely scored 40. Hofstra has beaten some easy teams in much of the same way as Fairfield. The one difference is that they went on the road and had a very good UConn team on the ropes by nine points in the second half. I think it shows that they have the talent level that makes them the choice here as a small-sized favorite. The Stags are just 2-8 ATS in their last 10 as a dog, and the Pride have bounced back off a loss at 14-6 ATS. I'll play on Hofstra in this one.Game: Florida International at Bowling Green (7:00 PM Eastern) Pick: 3 units on Florida International +11 (-110) (risk 3 to win 2.7) Florida International has yet to win on the road, but was competitive enough to lose by just 16 to Carolina, and 14 to a tough Eastern Kentucky team, both resulting in covers. The Falcons have yet to record a win vs. a Div-1 opponent, nor get a cover, so posted as a double-digit favorite here is a bit perplexing. The Golden Panthers have had success on the road at 5-1 ATS in their last six, and are also 4-1 ATS vs. the MAC. I think this one is set too high for a team that has shown nothing, so I'll go with Florida International to hang tough in this one.Game: St. Mary's at San Jose State (10:00 PM Eastern) Pick: 3 units on St. Mary's -5 (-110) (risk 3 to win 2.7) The San Jose State Spartans have won just 43 games over the last five years. To put that in perspective, the Gaels won 27 a year ago and are a good bet to make a run at unseating Gonzaga in the West Coast Conference this season. The Gaels have the dominant big man in Omar Sanhan who has stepped up even bigger this season. Sanhan is averaging 20.6 points per game along with 11.2 boards. He is not alone as five Gaels average at least 9.6 ppg. San Jose has Adrian Oliver, but beyond that is why they haven't even been a .500 team in many years. The Spartans are also showing no bite as a dog as they are 0-4 ATS in their last four as a dog of up to 6.5. I'll go with the more talented Gaels in this one. Results: 2-1 ![]() NCAA Basketball Picks Resources:
