Today's NCAA Basketball Picks:

Game: Baylor vs. San Diego State (7:00 PM Eastern)
Pick: 3 units on Baylor -1 (-110) (risk 3 to win 2.7)

The Baylor Bears will meet the San Diego State Aztecs in the NIT semifinal round at Madison Square Garden. For Baylor it has been a tale of three seasons. When they have been good they beat teams like Kansas, Providence, Arizona State, and Texas on a neutral floor, Virginia Tech, Auburn, Kansas State, and Oklahoma State on the road. They sandwiched a 21-4 season around a 2-10 season. Right now they are playing better than any team in the NIT. San Diego St. had an excellent season and thought they were deserving of an NCAA berth, but they lacked quality wins. They played to just a 4-8 mark against the best teams on their schedule, and none of those teams won even a game in the NCAA Tournament except for Arizona - a No. 12 seed. The problem is their top three scorers Wade, White and Spain did not improve upon their numbers from a year ago. They played just one game on the road all season before conference play and lost, and the Garden can be an intimidating place. I look for the Baylor Bears to win this one.
