Game: N C State vs. N Carolina (1:00 PM Eastern) Pick: 2 units on Game Total UNDER 146 -110
NC State comes in off three straight upset wins beating Duke, Virginia and Virginia Tech to get here. Can they pull off a stunning fourth? Not likely. In either case, we prefer the UNDER in this tilt. NC State has gone OVER three in a row but North Carolina has gone UNDER in two straight, playing great defense in beating Florida State and Boston College, allowing under 60 in both. NC State is going to run into their toughest test in this tournament here and they will struggle to score as they have been. Roy Williams-coached teams have gone UNDER 19 out of the last 27 times they have played on the road after allowing 60 points or less. North Carolina is 8-1 UNDER after allowing 60 this season and 12-5 UNDER following a 15+ point win. Take the UNDER here.
Game: Arkansas vs. Florida (1:00 PM Eastern) Pick: 2 units on Arkansas +9
It is easy to look at this game and say Florida is going to win by 20. Let us rewind you back to last year, though, and a similar situation. South Carolina finished their season at a mediocre 15-14. They went into the SEC tournament needing to run the table and beat Kentucky in their third game in three nights. They went on to face Florida for the Championship and an improbable NCAA bid fell short by 2 points! All you heard was how it was four games in four nights, and their legs will be gone. So what happens? The odds-makers are well aware of this so the line soars beyond what is reasonable. These are 18-21 year old kids, and sure they are tired, but they will play on the adrenlin of the situation and fatigue will not be the reason they lose. Last year in that SEC final between SC and Florida, SC was a 5 point underdog at 17-14. They had lost to Florida by 34 and 14 points in two previous games. SC not only took Florida to the wire, but they beat them by 5 points in the second half! Out of gas? It was Florida that was out of gas, not SC because they simply had more heart, and more to play for. Arkansas is in the same boat. They have played themselves likely into the NCAA tournament, but still reside on the bubble and certainly are not a guarantee. We will ride Arkansas to be in this game to the end, and an outright win is not out entirely of the question.
Game: Wisconsin vs. Ohio State (3:30 PM Eastern) Pick: 2 units on Wisconsin +1.5
#1 faces off against #4 in the Big Ten Championship. The favored Buckeyes haven't lost in 16 games. That loss was against their opponent today back on January 9. Ohio State won by one point on February 25th to even things up. This is a good matchup for Wisconsin. Ohio State's strength is defense but the Badgers are 11-4 ATS this season vs. good defensive teams (allowing 42% or less FG). With Ryan at the helm, the Badgers are 28-15 ATS revenging a loss. Wisconsin is the better defensive team and we like them to win this game.
