We rate each pick 1 to 5 units with 5 being the strongest play (read about units).

Game: Miami, Fla vs. Maryland (2:30 PM Eastern)
Pick: 3 units on Maryland -13

Very bad spot for Miami, Fla. They beat Maryland at Maryland, by five points early in the season. Maryland is at the top of its game winning seven straight including wins over North Carolina and Duke twice while blowing everyone else out. Miami, having beaten Maryland, will get their attention in this game, and Maryland will have their way in this one, and can name their score. Miami is just 7-15 ATS in their last 22 games, and as bad as they have been, they have been worse than the lines used to gauge them.

Game: North Carolina State vs. Duke (7:00 PM Eastern)
Pick: 4 units on North Carolina State +9.5

Duke will be without Henderson today, and that means a thin Duke bench will get thinner. Duke certainly has not thrived in this spot, as they have been just 5-16-1 ATS as a neutral site favorite. This team is good at Cameron, but average on the road. Duke has also been just 5-15 ATS when the total is posted in the 130-point range. NC ST. has proven they can step it up, as they beat North Carolina, and they are coming off of a loss, where they have been a stellar 40-19 ATS. Look for this game to be much closer than the line posted here and don't be shocked if NC St. wins this outright.

Game: Louisville vs. West Virginia (7:00 PM Eastern)
Pick: 3 units on Louisville -3.5

These teams did not meet this year. Louisville is playing as good as anyone in the country right now, and has won six straight games including three of those wins on the road with one at Pittsburgh. It isn't often you hear Rick Pitino talk of how good his team is playing, as he usually is a perfectionist, but even he has declared they are peaking at the right time. W. Virginia hit an amazing 17 three-point shots to get here, and it is doubtful they will repeat that today, but they will need to in order to stay with this Louisville team. Providence allowed this game to turn into a three-point shooting contest, and you don't beat W. Virginia that way. We look for Louisville to win this one by at least 10.

Game: Wake Forest vs. Georgia Tech (9:00 PM Eastern)
Pick: 3 units on Georgia Tech -10

Wake Forest has truly had a down year. They have posted just one win away from home all season. Georgia Tech has a young, but highly talented team. They came together in the second half of the ACC season. They opened 2-6, but finished 6-2, but perhaps have the need for one more win to secure a tournament bid. To put things in perspective, Georgia Tech beat Wake by 14 points, even with Wake’s Anthony Gurley having a dream game. Gurley averages just 6.7-points per game (PPG), and yet went 8-11 from the floor, and 4-5 from three-point range, where he shoots just 30% on the season and finished the game with 24 points. Gurley only reached as high as 15 points in any other game this season. Despite Gurley’s coming-out party, Georgia Tech still won the game by 14 points! That performance speaks volumes of the distance between these two teams, and Georgia tech will roll in this one.

Game: Colorado State vs. San Diego State (11:30 PM Eastern)
Pick: 4 units on San Diego State -4.5

It has been a tale of two seasons for Colorado State They opened 14-4 and appeared to be on their way to an easy 20-win season. Then the competition got tougher, and they rolled over and died. They have been just 2-8 in their last 10 games. That includes a home loss to San Diego State by 15 points! They have been 16-35 ATS after an ATS loss, and 10-22 ATS after a SU loss. They are also 6-14 ATS against teams .600+. They are also 8-28 ATS as an underdog of 6.5 points or less, and 0-6 ATS on a neutral court. San Diego St. has been a tale of three seasons, with the best coming now. They opened 8-0 against weak competition, then hit the wall, and went 5-7. Since then, they have really gotten it going finishing 8-2. Those wins include beating Air Force by 21 points and BYU by 12. They are a dark horse to win this tournament and that quest starts tonight.
